MUZIKA ERDVĖJE 2026

Vilnius, Kaunas · 08/11/2026

HELLO, WORLD 2026.09.08 - 2026.09.19 The site-specific music festival "Muzika erdvėje" ("Music in Surroundings") invited us to contemplate navigation between reality/virtuality – and how this shapes our lives, creative methods, and mutual connections. "HELLO, WORLD" – the very first message of a programming language – becomes the codename for the 12th edition of the festival, opening up an intermediate space (in-betweenness) where we are neither here nor there at the exact same time. According to the French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, virtuality is by no means the opposite of reality, but rather an inseparable part of it. What appears to us as "real" is merely one of many realizations of virtual possibilities. Throughout the festival program, this theme will unfold through the perspectives of creators from various fields: KARY, Nancie Naive, Rasa Murauskaitė-Juškienė, Natalija Arlauskaitė, Laima Kreivytė, Zubin Kanga, Alexander Schubert, Ben Nobuto, Lukas Butkus, „Edgy Palates“, Sarah Davachi, „NO HAY BANDA“, Karolis Zajauskas, Natas Kunas, Jekaterina Lavrinec, Kotryna Lingienė, Karolis Lasys, Edita Pocinaitė-Janickė. An integral part of the artistic events will be a series of workshops, excursions, and discussions exploring the Anthropocene, gender representation, cybersecurity, and space-revealing narratives. These sessions will feature insights from Rasa Murauskaitė, Natalija Arlauskaitė, Laima Kreivytė, and others.
